Happy Christmas everyone...
We couldn't resist making an 'Elf Yourself' Xmas Disco extravaganza too
Alexia set to work straight after coming back from a conference in Auckland and we both created this wee beaut for you to smirk at. Stella looks most suave, watch out for Alexia's 'booby shake' and check out my pelvic thrusts - almost obscene... Tashy, well she's just posing around as usual ;o)

Hot Hot Hot!!!
Wot Snow, where's the ice - I need some for my drinks 'swelter swelter' ...
Yes it's 32 degrees at 7pm!! - I was wondering why I got such a red sweaty head when mowing the grass today. It's difficult to find a cool place to sit, can't wait til the cool of the evening comes so I can open all the windows and doors to let some cool refreshing air into the house.
OK I know I'm rubbing it in with the heat - but blinking Nora how can you expect anyone to get into the spirit of Xmas when you can fry an egg on the deck!! Even Stella only runs outside for a quick pee then comes into the shade. No white Xmas here - and I think I should be the one jealous of you guys cause your getting the 'real deal' white Cristmas - send me some photos of the snow, it may cool me down a bit!!!

A Christmas Song
Hello Folks - oops another aftershock is shaking the house as I write - yep they are still around , too many to count, and they are only little one's now thank goodness.
Alexia was sent this lovely Youtube video by her dad, so I thought I'd pass it on - a very inspiring moment in a mall it's part of the new 'mob' phenomenon which is becoming popular on Youtube... It's all about a bunch of performers getting together in public spaces and filming themselves with their own cameras then editing all the clips together afterwards - pretty cool idea aye

Grandma (Nan) & Babe
Yey baby Jackson was born a few days ago - he was overdue - far too comfy inside mum - finally came out through caesarean section (Wikipedia that one to learn more). Babe and mum are fine, and back at home.
Alexia spent her first day with them both on Saturday, and really enjoyed herself being nan/mum for Autumn and Jackson - isn't he cute!! He looks like his dad, but has got loads of mum in him too, so he's a real mixture of them both.
I'm cooking up a huge Chilli Con Carne for them to munch on as they are getting used to being parents. Alexia has already been pooped on - it fired out like a rocket apparently 'that's mi boy' and he's nearly wee'd in Alexia's face too, his aim isn't too good yet tho' ;O)
PS. Yes the blog is back in action - I'm going to start using it again - I don't like Facebook anymore - it's like being in a fishbowl with everyone looking in all the time - the blog is just for us aye
Lurv ya, Dad
Baby has come at last!!

PLINIUS - My New Workplace

I've been working at Plinius for a week now - they are a small engineering firm/factory producing extremely sophisticated (and expensive) amplifiers for audio enthusiasts.
It's a good team to be working with, and I'm learning more about amplifiers and electronics on the way, all very cool, best job I've done in a while ;O)
Take a look at their website if you want to [click on the link below]
http://www.pliniusaudio.nzld.com/index.asp
The picture is of their flagship amplifier which is enormous - 300 watts stereo, and 1000 watts as a mono block - it weighs 57 Kg's, and sells for about $NZ 18,000, yep the real audiophiles will have a pair and run them as mono-blocks - wow, and that's just the amplifier, you also need speakers and a CD player!!!
OK so you want one for Xmas, I better start saving - they only allow 25 Kg's on the plane!!!

Guernsey 1 - Dana's Homework
Hiya Dana - here's the first part of the flyover of Guernsey.
I've put these videos on You Tube so you can watch them bigger for detail - try the High Resolution mode and full screen ;O) - if it jumps then pause the video to let it load up before playing it !!
Hope this helps with the 'spacial awareness' you need to think in 3D mapping. Try watching with a map of Guernsey and follow the film with a finger on the map 8=)
See if you can spot things like:
Petit Bot
The 'fairy ring' at Pleinmont
Vazon Bay
The Little Forest
Cobo
Serenity

Xmas Sunday
We had our Xmas meal on the Sunday after Xmas. The feast was at Autumn & Marks newly built house. They had only just moved in {Dec 16th}. The meal was wonderful, roasted ham off the bone, and a crispy roasted chicken, with all the trimmings.
There were a few classic sweets for afters including the 'farting jelly' that performed well for everyone - we all got a fart out, yey, some a little more rambunctious than others!! ;O) And of course the Kiwi 'Pavlova' - want to know more about the famous Kiwi 'Pav'

Dads Xmas Pressy
These are the fly eating plants that I was given by Alexia for Xmas.
They have got names now - the green one in the middle is called 'Gobby', the purple one to the right is 'Herby' short for 'Hungry Herbert', and the pretty left one is called "Viv" for Vivian Westwood the designer [Alexia chose that name, not sure why, doesn't really have much to do with eating flies??!!]
They eat about 3-4 flies a day at the moment and live to be 80 years old!!!!
The are called Sarracenia [click on the name to find out more]
