Guernsey 1 - Dana's Homework

Hiya Dana - here's the first part of the flyover of Guernsey.

I've put these videos on You Tube so you can watch them bigger for detail - try the High Resolution mode and full screen ;O) - if it jumps then pause the video to let it load up before playing it !!

Hope this helps with the 'spacial awareness' you need to think in 3D mapping. Try watching with a map of Guernsey and follow the film with a finger on the map 8=)

See if you can spot things like:

Petit Bot
The 'fairy ring' at Pleinmont
Vazon Bay
The Little Forest
Cobo
Serenity

Xmas Sunday

Daniel - Marie - Alexia

We had our Xmas meal on the Sunday after Xmas. The feast was at Autumn & Marks newly built house. They had only just moved in {Dec 16th}. The meal was wonderful, roasted ham off the bone, and a crispy roasted chicken, with all the trimmings.

There were a few classic sweets for afters including the 'farting jelly' that performed well for everyone - we all got a fart out, yey, some a little more rambunctious than others!! ;O) And of course the Kiwi 'Pavlova' - want to know more about the famous Kiwi 'Pav'

Dads Xmas Pressy

These are the fly eating plants that I was given by Alexia for Xmas.

They have got names now - the green one in the middle is called 'Gobby', the purple one to the right is 'Herby' short for 'Hungry Herbert', and the pretty left one is called "Viv" for Vivian Westwood the designer [Alexia chose that name, not sure why, doesn't really have much to do with eating flies??!!]

They eat about 3-4 flies a day at the moment and live to be 80 years old!!!!

The are called Sarracenia [click on the name to find out more]

Xmas Morning - Early!

*HAPPY NEW YEAR*

Here's Xmas Morning for Dad in NZ - yes it's very early, 'bout 7:30 am and we've just woken up.

Guess where the 'hairy buns' are??
